Traveling Advice!

Hello Everyone!

Apologies for missing last night's post of the mixed media project.  I was in a panic as I was putting the last of my new goodies from convention when I realized I am missing most of my convention registration packet which included 2 stamp sets and an ATS stamp with my completed make n' takes. 

Totally bummed when I thought back to when I was unpacking back in June that I didn't remember taking the packet out of my suitcase.  But I do remember seeing a card stating my bags was inspected.

So first, if you have something of value than just your clothes, write those items down and take photos of these items in your bag.

Second, once you arrive at your destination, if you see a card in your bag when you unpack stating it was inspected, keep it until you are 100% sure everything is in the bag!  You will need this to place a claim.  

Unfortunately, I did neither of these and now going to have to re-purchase my missing stamps.

Hopefully, these two tips will save you some sorrow!

New For You

As promised, a project with our new colors!  I love these softer colors.  Using Rustic Rose, Peaches and Cream, and Fresh Sage, this card is great for a birthday, thinking of you, or even a missing you card.

To get started, I used the Peaches and Cream liquid color and the new Buffalo Check stencil to create the background on Whip Cream card stock.  I made it sightly darker than the Peaches and Cream card base and once dry, flicked it with Fresh Sage silk.  (OMG, I love playing with the silks!!) 

The sentiment stack is made with the circle punches and a scallop punch.  One the circle punched was the perfect size for the sentiment from the Remarkable You set.  I matched the Sage silk with the Fresh Sage ribbon and thread to "tie" it all together then finished it off with Journey Glaze on the sentiment.

Closer Look at 6 New Colors

 Say hello to the Good Life colors...

With the new FSJ Good Life collection in the 2018-19 catalog, we have 6 new colors.

These colors are the softer, muted colors to fit right in with the rest of the 50 FSJ colors.  

The first three are Rustic Rose, Peaches and Cream, and Haystack.  I put the Whip Cream hearts on the Peaches and Cream to show the softness of the color.  The Haystack is that golden yellow we have been missing!  And the Rustic Rose is just a wow for me as I love any shade of pink.  

The second set has Tin Pail, Chambray Shirt, and Fresh Sage.  Oh my good gravy, we have a lighter gray in Tin Pail!  Just like above, I added the Whip Cream hearts to show the tone of the gray.  This will be great for that little touch of color when I want to use something other than the white Whip Cream or the ivory color of the Buttercream.  Chambray Shirt reminds of my dad's favorite flannel shirt.  And finally, Fresh Sage...this brings to mind the start of spring and the garden coming to life.

I can't wait to play with these colors!  I have tomorrow off, so will be in the craft area most of the day to see what I can create.  Come back Sat to see the finished project.

New Catalog, New Logo, All New Look!

July 1 = New Catalog!

It's time for the new Fun Stampers Journey Catalog!!  At our convention in Arizona in late June, we celebrated the arrived of this beautiful catalog.  Inside, there is 22 new stamp sets, 21 stamp & dies sets (that's a 43 stamp sets!!), 7 new background stamps, 21 new dies, 37 ATS stamps and 3 matching ATS dies, 7 new embossing folders, 5 great new tools (including a score board!)....

With this new catalog, we have 6 brand new colors!!  This set of colors gives us some of the softer tones we have been waiting for.  Introducing the six new colors below, welcome Rustic Rose, Fresh Sage, Peaches and Cream, Tin Pail, Chambray Shirt, and Haystack.  Along with the basics of card stock, ink pad, and re-inker, some of these colors have new ribbons, liquid colors, silks, and splashes.

I will be crafting with these through the week and sharing more soon.

With these 6 new colors, there are 3 new collections with one collections being the focal point of the new colors.  Welcome the collection of The Good Life!  This collection brings back memories of a simpler time of hearth and home.
